Roland is the Founder/President of Focus CE and has over 40 years of executive and consulting experience in consumer electronics, pro audio, commercial AV, and the musical instrument industry. Roland has provided strategic business development, product development, and M&A advisory services to senior management and at a Board level to many companies including Gold Peak Industries (Holdings) Limited, Peak Audio Group, D&M Holdings, Mitek, Pioneer Electronics USA, Terk Electronics, DASH Navigation, XM Satellite Radio, and Gibson Guitar. His areas of concentration have included product sourcing, market analysis, strategic planning, corporate and business development, sales networking and sales team creation/management, brand extension, mergers/acquisitions, and turnarounds.
For D&M Holdings, Roland provided M&A strategic advisory services, and directed and implemented sourcing for a new loudspeaker brand. For Pioneer, he led sourcing for a highly successful line of affordably priced loudspeaker systems. Roland provided M&A strategy services, market analysis, brand extension opportunities, and technology licensing for Gibson. For MTX Audio, Roland provided M&A strategy services resulting in the purchase of Coustic Car Audio.
For SiriusXM Satellite Radio, he facilitated technology licensing and liaison services between the XM Satellite Radio marketing group in Washington DC, the XM technology group in Florida, and various automotive manufacturers. Prior positions included Executive Director of Cerwin-Vega, Senior Vice President of KLH Audio Systems, Vice Chairman, KLH Europe, and President of Phoenix Gold International.
